Naada Bracey
I am a Clinical Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Advanced Accredited Sex Therapist with over 25 years’ experience working in the assessment and treatment of trauma, including sexual violence and complex developmental trauma. I am an ACC-registered Sensitive Claims Assessor and Clinician, supporting clients through both assessment and ongoing therapeutic recovery.
My work specialises in trauma resolution, sexuality, and gender, with a particular focus on helping people reduce distress, reconnect with their bodies, and live more authentically. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed, relational lens, that frames symptoms as meaningful responses to lived experience rather than pathology. I have extensive experience supporting people with complex trauma histories, phobias, dissociation, identity concerns, neurodivergence, disability and difficulties in relationships and sexual wellbeing.
As a sex therapist, I work with clients to reduce shame and fear, restore self-agency, and support the development of pleasurable, consensual, and nourishing relationships with self and others. My practice is kink-aware, sex-positive, and affirming of diverse sexualities, neuro-types, abilities, genders, and relationship structures.
I am committed to social justice, culturally responsive practice, and upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in my clinical work.
I aim to provide a calm, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic space where safety, consent, and pacing are central
